HAITI RELIEF

The Disater Relief Ministry of our Convention works on a level much like the Red Cross and, in fact, works closely with the RC. The primary goal is emergency assistance. Help is offered with Christian love in the Name of the Lord! A link to the Disater Relief website is provided here for updates and information on how to give to this effort; other Convention links are found in our "Links" section.   http://www.flbaptistdisaster.org/

GOD’S MESSAGE OF SALVATION

 The entire Bible declares that God desires for everyone to experience a personal relationship with Him *(John 4:23-24). To begin this unique relationship as a child of God, it is necessary to experience what Jesus called a spiritual rebirth—to be born from above * (John 3:3-7).

This spiritual rebirth involves a personal choice and commitment on your part.

 1.      You must choose to turn away from your sinful self and turn to God through Christ. Choosing to live without Christ is to live in
          the darkness of sin away from the light of God’s presence. * (John 1:4-9, 3:19-21)
 2.      You must believe by faith that God will forgive your sins through Christ’s death on the cross and his resurrection.
          * (John 3:16-18, 10:10-18)
 3.      You must commit yourself to following Jesus in order to experience God’s presence both now and in eternity. * (John 14:1-6)
 4.      You become a child of God by opening your heart to Jesus and giving Him control of your life. * (John 1:10-12)

God desires this personal relationship with you because of His love. Have you accepted His free gift of love and salvation through Jesus Christ? If not, then why not do it right now? Simply express your personal commitment to God in your own words as a prayer of faith.
If you are not sure how to pray, perhaps the following expresses what you would like to say to God:
"Lord, I admit that I need you and your love. I know that I have sinned. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to forgive my sins. I believe he was raised from death to give me life. I ask you, Jesus, to come into my life and take control. Thank You, God, for Your gift of love and life, Amen."
